Aquarian – Chapter 1

1 Chapter - Aquarian

Lying on his backside holds awareness of exactly how he achieved it. His throat understands the piercing lethal possibility of no more breathing. A gulp provides a slight cut to relay further knowledge that his sword blade is deftly held. Otherwise, he would not be looking up at her as she looks down at him with eyes holding a twinkle of success.

It took four words to achieve this goal of being outdone at something that he is renownedly capable of. It was a few sharply growled words as the muscular winged male mistakenly raised the glittering winged platinum long rapier blade. Then he dared to point it toward a female that does not kneel, no kneeling to anyone. And Aquarian had mentioned something like that.

“ Kneel, kneel now, bitch! ” Comes smilingly repeated by the Air Prime.

Before this moment, Aquarian Harrier thought that he had turned to face an unknown but expected adversary. His sword then threatened a female entering the stable of prized Cockatrice. The rare creatures created enough commotion to spur the arrival of a multitude of female guards protecting the estate. Hence, thievery brings the famous philosopher dazed as he hears a repeat of the words that left his lips moments ago.

” Strangely, I had expected more since you consistently boast of your deeds.” Declares Augusta letting the sword go as air energies form a tiny almost stationary whirlwind to hold it in place.

Then in standing over the muscled male Avian, the Air Prime peers into his dark eyes as he squirms. Within a snickering, it amuses that he believes himself free.

” Oops, I would not do that if I were you.” Arrives shared, while she hears the air whispering that a squad of female guards surrounded the stable.

” Gosh, golly gee whiz. You easily collect females too.” Arrives as a summation with a disbelieving head shake that anyone would attempt such a theft as this. “ Surrounded by exactly thirteen militia-type females. ”

Then glancing toward the roof of the oversized stable barn the air whispers to its Mistress. ‘ Two on top to descend.’

The broad-shouldered Avian slowly fixes sight on the rafters for he hears the footsteps. He notices the rooftop door opening to show a female Cardinali peering down at the both of them.

” Research, you should have researched the location and the creatures.” Comes delivering with a sigh about the acceptance that her hands must now become dirty with defensive manoeuvres. “ Any other professional thief would have. ”

“ The egg over in the third box stall belongs to me, no thievery being done. The egg and red cloak with contents belong to me. ” Claims the Avian in trying to maneuver from under the twirling blade but cannot. The sword seems to be adept at thwarting every attempt to escape.

Noticing the attempts forms a sneer of disbelief about this not being a theft. Everything from disabled alarms to two dead Habeas Canines as a rope rapidly slinks down from the roof via a door opening. As the rope dangles sudden sounds of screaming rips into the space above the roof. This brings the sneer to change into a devilish smile followed by snickering.

A whipping wind roars from the upper atmosphere of Cardinalis. This is a bullwhip of almost visible atomic energies. It delivers a bit of tossing about bodies until those bodies are exhausted or beaten into submission. With a tired sigh, Augusta listens to the commotion of lashing winds dealing with guards before further dealing with what is in the barn.

“ The things that I do to simply have a moment of someone’s attention, ” Wittily slips the Air Prime’s lips for the start of some chat as she coldly glares at the Avian.

It is a coldness of knowing that the effort of gathering further information possibly holds pointlessness. However, it is rumoured that the philosopher known as Aquarian has facts about the garnet gemstone. The crystalline stone flew into the sky after four cloaked humanoids forced it out of the ground. It has been seen by several others and all the talk connects the Aquarian to the event. Most of it is not kind to him either.

Standing for a moment longer, Augusta Aeries Cian walks to a nearby bail of straw. She sits upon it, crossing those long elegant legs at the knee as she pulls the sky-blue woollen hooded cloak tighter around herself.

“ So a deal, you will promise all I need from you about the suspicious theft you witnessed. The gemstone theft from a week ago, the one that killed an entire herd of Cockatrice and its king. The one of you pirating a protected species egg for trading on the rarities illegal markets.”

The winged male slowly wiggles himself into a nearby corner. It occurs while the twirling sword, held in the tiny whirlwind, keeps the blade closer than a hair width to his throat. Hence he barely gives any attention to the chat.

“ There can be continued protection from Sir Sanyo’s very skilled Baden squad. But only if you tell me what and who you saw that day. And why the thieves remain on Cardinalis to this very day. There are regular sightings of them. With those usually in places that you have been in the recent past.”

These facts are shared as Aquarian’s hands grasp a metal disk that leans against the wall that he managed to back into. The doc comes instantly slipped between his throat and the twirling sword. A clanging sound immediately demands Augusta’s attention.

“ You are bad, so very bad, and deserve what is coming at you. I have tried to help you. ” Comes mentioned with a disbelieving head shake.

“ Okay, you are playing with powers and entities above your pay grade. You have no idea who I am, let alone who possibly is behind the actual theft. But, I now own that egg, the cloak and all in concern of both.”

Instantly, the sword drops to the straw-covered wooden floor to miss hitting his body. That coincides with Augusta vanishing to teleport and reappear in the third box stall of the stable barn. In the corner, she notices a peeking of a red velvet cloak. “ Red, yes, of course, it’s dark red.”

Then in squatting, there comes reaching to collect the cloak. It is found that an oversized cockatrice egg is wrapped in it. Thus, Augusta gathers it all in arms before teleporting to the estate house’s rooftop. The house is a long large one situated a goodly walking distance from the stable barn.

“Aha,” Flows via a breathy exhale while watching the thirteen guards subdue Aquarian. Capturing him while busting up various parts of the barn.

Another head shakes as she sees the feistiness continue. Then the estate house’s main door opens with Sir Pisco Italis Sanyo strutting across the distance to the barn.

Words, many of them spouted by everyone on the ground. Unnecessary words, trouble brewing words and words that the air whispers to her. The reply to it, ” Really, really, you think much of yourself, Pisco. You are an illegal marketeer too. You have several upon several stolen rare items in this various house.”

“ Pots calling kettles,” Arrives frustratedly for she needs to do something that she wishes to not do.

Doing because she sees how it is.

Both males want the egg, but one is willing to be dastardly. That male forces the bound kneeling Avian to be fully on the ground and unarmed. Disgusting names are said, and bigotry and foul words are yelled in amusement toward the Aquarian. All is delivered via brutality of metal-toed boot kicks and jabs from the platinum blade that belongs to the renowned Avian.

“ By all that is sacred, why do Mortals do this, do such things when it is not necessary? Hate, hate and greed are what flourishes.” Her heart is sullen, always sad when Mortals prove the truths that Immortals claim about them.

“ Worthy, being worthy of it, Ci, I will never understand why you thought me to be worthy of your life . . . the sacrifice of you to give a Mortal this gift of a forever.”
